Anamaria Marinca bio
Anamaria is an Romanian Actress. Her debut on screen was through her role in the Channel 4 film Sex Traffic and was the recipient of the British Academy Television Award for the Best Actress. She speaks fluently French, German and English. Her father, a professor of theater at one of Romania's most prestigious theater schools, also theater teacher. Won the Best Female Actor of the Year 2000 Award at the Young Actor Gala Mangalia. In 2008, the European Film Promotion Board recognized her as a European Shooting Star. In 2007, she was in the Romanian film 4 luni 3 weeks si2 (4 Months, 3 Weeks 4 Months 3 Weeks and 2 Days) 4 months 3 weeks 2 days, directed by Cristian Mungiu. The film was awarded two prizes at the Cannes Film Festival (the Cinema Prize of the French National Education System & the FIPRESCI Prize). Youth Without Youth, a Francis Ford Coppola movie, was also a part of her professional career. In 2008, she played Yasim anwar in the BBC series The Last Enemy. Marinca is a regular on Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven and the Romanian drama Boogie. She later played the role of Irma's German aunt in Fury the film, which came out in 2014.
