Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, an American producer stage and screen actress, best recognized for her roles in films on the film Ray Undercover Brother and on the tv show The Mentalist. She holds a BA in African-American Studies and an MFA from the Tisch School of the Arts New York University. Aunjanue Lisa Ellis is a producer as well as an American actor active in the theatre in film, television, and theatre. Her career began acting in the theatre but then proceeded to appear in many television shows, as well as independent and mainstream films. Her most well-known role was Miranda Shaw, a character in ABC's Quantico. In BET's amazing show The Book of Negroes she was a character. She did not only receive critical acclaim for her performance, but she did she also win a couple of awards and nominations. Her career began acting in 1995 when she played Ariel in The Tempest. On Broadway she's appeared on stage in Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Seeking the Genesis and Joe Turner's Come and Gone. The most recognizable part of her career is her role in the series Men of Honor as well as the Caveman's Valentine The Express & The Help. In her television work, she has been praised for her performance in the role of a character who is a regular on ABC's drama about cops High Incident.
