Awkwafina An American performer and actress, started with humorous rap tracks dealing with issues related to race and sexuality. Her fame grew into Hollywood following the release of several rap songs. Nora Lum began her musical path as a trumpeter. Her birthplace was Forest Hills Queens, she was the daughter of Chinese immigrants and Korean immigrants. Apart from classical music and jazz, she started to study hip-hop during her teens. While in college, she took classes in the field of women's studies and journalism. In addition, she spent some time learning Mandarin in Beijing. The focus changed towards music after she graduated. The track My Vag which was her reaction to Mickey Avalon's My Dick, became a huge hit across the Internet and eventually appeared on her first LP Yellow Ranger. It also contained viral hits such as the body-positive Queef or winking hometown tour NYC Bitche$. The latter song was linked directly to another project, Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide, which was published in 2015. In addition to being a published author, her other career was as a singer. As well as early shows that included Girl Code and Tawk - she appeared in movies Neighbors 2 Storks and Bad Rap. In 2018, she landed a series of notable roles including Dude Ocean 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. The EP was released in June.
